Compared to the Republicans explanation, Reid sounds like an old style flower child, having trouble getting out of the corn field after sneeking sex.

He actually thinks that type of speech works anymore?

I blame both sides, there is no reason why they cannot set aside their petty party fights and make this work, this thing is about 15 miles past childish and coming up fast on stupid.

The president and the rest of that bunch of halfwits in Washington will get their pay no matter what, all they know how to do is fight over who will win the battle for power.

“We’ll show you who runs things here in Washington, you either give into what we want or we will shut down the government, to hell with the people, this is important stuff here”

Hi Greg, Reid reminds me of Elmer Fudd. You know, Elmer trying to hunt the rabbit, and the rabbit calling him a moran. This is just too funny. Poetic justice. After passing the health fleecing bill, I am going to enjoy seeing the dems get the shaft. Get out the popcorn, and watch the show, as they defund healthcare.

Making fun of the mentally or physically challenged is very bad for the karma

Be careful of lightning and being struck down by the Lord!

:-o)

Sriously thought Reid likely honestly doesn't remember or realize that he is part of the problem, not the solution

He was so sincere in his, "They will lose their new cars and vacations".

Weird how this wasn't that important before October of last year. Congress scrambling to get a budget passed is like a grade school kid waiting until the last day, to do the report he was assigned to do a month ago.

And they say they're a serious bunch. Pffffft!

http://dailycaller.com/2011/04/08/sen-harry-reid-brings-his-family-into-shutdown-battle/

Republicans want to shut down our nation’s government because they want to make it harder for women to get the health services they need,” Reid said, after warning that women in his family could lose access to health care under the GOP’s plan. “Republicans want to shut down the government because they think there’s nothing more important than keeping women from getting cancer screenings? This is indefensible. Everyone should be outraged. Men, women should be outraged.”

“They’re willing it appears clearly to throw women under the bus, even if it means it will shut down the government,” Reid said.

Harry wants to be able to let his girlfriends in DC get abortions - period, even though there's a law preventing that, he still wants it in the budget - no place else, just DC where his girlfriends are. In addition, he wants EPA to be able to continue to study "Climate Change", you know, that thing that's been around for millions of years and will disappear in July if we don't study it now. What friggin' postering.

fstwarrior Harry doesn't have any girl friends in DC. If he does they go home with the driver or he has a lot of help. This is a prime example of why we need term limits, not only dem's the other side too.

I haven't seen one credible answer, from the left, that explains what the heck the democrats have been doing since they received the Budget Proposal on February 1, 2010!

The democrats were filibuster-proof!

And why has BO waited until now to do or say something about it? Not that he's doing much...

Sorry that is a lie, they were not! Facts matter and ya don't get to make up yer own.

Here is the credible answer. They had a budget that passed appropriations in both houses and the WH. But the rethublican obstructionists pulled the fillibuster bull @!$%# and kept the budget from coming to the floor for a vote.

True...but the Democrats should have just passed it anyway. Isn't that how it works now? No need to follow rules and procedures since, according to Cantor, you can just make it up as you go! ;)

Stop trying to talk to these idiots. They don't know which side is up and if the deranged right said tomorrow that it's all about ice cream, they'd be talking about how Dairy Queen is the death of America! LOL!!!

Oh, good point Global - the Dems still haven't approved the 2010 budget, so why should we expect anything else?

The game is Texas hold-em. Harry is in charge of the big blind. Tea Party the flop. Boehner makes the turn, face up (face down). We are now paddling furiously up the river on our way to the showdown...

Well I don't see how anything is going to get done...everytime I turn on my TV there's one of them teanuts saying shut the government down.

It's not possible to negotiate when one party has already decided prior to the negotiations that it's their way or no way at all...

You can blame Reid all you like (and yes he is a complete tool) but it's pretty clear that the Rand Paul's and Kyl's of Congress don't WANT a budget deal...they want chaos!

I watched it about 2 1/2 hours ago and just had to start typing as he was talking. It wasn't even funny !

At least he didn't claim we'd all die of Cancer next week while the NHS was shut down like the troll representing my state (Mikulski).

Interesting how the King had supporters who wanted him to run thier lives during the first TeaParty, and thier decendants STILL want someone to run thier lives today.

I think I'd go with the one that has a serious numbers debate over the "Your gonna Die" group.

In a couple of weeks, the really, really, really big budget debate is going to start. That's when we'll see whose serious or not.
